Keynote Speaker
Ann Anzalone
Ann is an energetic, dynamic, and enthusiastic speaker. She is a teacher who incorporates what she teaches in her presentations. Her talks focus on effective learning and teaching based on current brain-based research. "Hands On" activities, active learning, and practical suggestions for use with students are the mainstays of her workshops. Prior to being a workshop presenter, Ann taught middle school, junior high and senior high school students, was named an Outstanding Teacher of America and was listed in Who's Who in American Education. Currently, Ann teaches graduate classes through the Division of Professional Practice and Research at Wright State University, and in the Summer Program at the McGregor School of Antioch University. She presents workshops on topics related to learning styles, cooperative learning, the stress connection, and accelerated learning techniques.

When students have a hard time learning or don’t want to learn, how do you teach them? Learn techniques and strategies to capture your students’ imaginations, meet their need for safety and belonging, and to understand themselves. Empower children to know and understand how to learn in their own way. Discover how to teach your students to be attuned to themselves and their learning styles; learn strategies to develop skills and experience the impact of the mind-body connection in the learning process.

Setting Children Up for Success
Discover three learning style patterns that influence whether a child succeeds or fails in the learning process. Empower students to know and understand themselves and how to learn their own way. Learn three techniques to match teaching styles to learning styles. Create a learning environment using the multiple intelligences and learning styles based on the latest brain research. Use this information to structure lessons to accelerate learning, to teach students the importance of mind mapping techniques, and to develop the most effective mental state for learning.

Exercises to Enhance Learning
Learning is not all in your head. The development of the body’s physical system is crucial for learning to occur. Learn why and how movement is a key factor in the learning process. Understand the importance of crossover movement, symmetric tonic neck reflex maturity, and physical movement in the developing communication, organization and comprehension skills. Understand the importance of transitioning from the three dimensions to two dimensions. Experience activities and exercises to use prior to teaching to enhance learning.
